Kara Lindsay

Somehow, I found out that Kara Lindsay was coming to Black  Mountain, NC.  It's just east of Asheville, NC, and at the time, I lived about 45 minutes west of Asheville, so there was no way I was going to miss out on seeing a real, live Newsie!  It turns out her husband, Kevin Massey, a Broadway legend in his own right, was from Black Mountain.  They were visiting the area and put on this show at his former high school while they were there.  I got tickets and headed to Black Mountain with my mom in tow.  We ate at a local pizza joint before heading to the show, which was WONDERFUL!  They shared the story of how they got together, their individual Broadway journeys, and, of course, they sang a lot of songs.  I was in heaven!  It was a glorious night!
