Bible references
As I was compiling the Actor Index, I noticed that actors would sometimes include references to Bible verses in their bios. The hunter/gatherer-of-information that I am immediately wanted to know what each verse was. As long as I was researching each verse, I figured I might as well create a list of them for future reference, and then place that list somewhere for everyone to have easy access to it. And so I did!
I used the New International Version from BibleGateway.com for the text of the passages. If you prefer a different translation, just click the link to select the version you like best at BibleGateway.com. To make life easier (for me, at least), the passages are listed in alphabetical and chronological order.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

young men and old as well.
I will turn their mourning into gladness;
I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.
